My sister ran out of milk so I breastfed the baby for her… some say it’s weird but I don’t care

A WOMAN has gone viral after sharing a video of her breastfeeding her sister’s baby.
Being a mom is no easy task — and sometimes you might need an extra pair of hands to help you… or in this case, an extra pair of breasts.

Lisa McAloon from USA is a mother of three who recently gave birth to her newest child, baby boy Callum.
The mother, who works as a teacher, is very open about her journey as a parent and regularly takes to social media to share heartwarming snaps of her little ones and family life.
Though her posts are loved by many, one such clip in particular has gone viral and divided Instagram users.
This is where the mum of three found she was running out of milk – but luckily for her and for Callum, who is just three months old, help was on the way.
Not ready to let her little nephew go hungry, Lisa’s sister Janelle McAloon decided to step in and take over — literally.
When she heard her sister was running out of precious food, Janelle didn’t hesitate and grabbed baby Callum before removing her top and nursing him.
“When your sister is low on milk but you’re a human cow,” Janelle, who is herself a mother of four, wrote alongside the clip.
She continued in the caption, “All for my nephew.”
With over a whopping 9.2 million views, the video took the internet by storm and left the online community divided.
While many believed there was nothing “strange” about this, others were not so sure of this donor milk practice.

One person said: “Okay I love your personality and you have a cute family but idk [I don’t know] about that [sic].”
Someone else thought, “I think the weird thing about this is that she’s physically breastfeeding her niece or nephew, why can’t the sister just express the milk and give it to the mom?”
A third wrote: “Doesn’t everything need to be shared on the internet?”
It wasn’t all negative, however, as many moms stepped in to show their support.
“My sister helped me when I couldn’t get enough milk for my twins! Love this!” said one parent.

Another mum agreed, saying: “I always thought this was perfectly normal and then when I had a baby my supply was low so my sister gave me some of her milk supply and my friends were horrified.
“I couldn’t believe I was sentenced for that.”
