TikTok user @pancakewitsyruptrap revealed her dramatic departure and shared the details in a video post on the social media platform that has since gone viral.

“If you’ve ever wanted to quit a job in glory…I did that today,” she says in the video, which shows her speaking to the camera from her car.

According to TikToker, the saga began a few weeks earlier when she claims her boss demanded that she cut wages “by significant amounts” at two different categories of workers.

She also claims the boss asked her to retrospectively remove pay.

The “ridiculous” request to save money on employee wages was made even though the business was said to be profitable.

She called it a “terrible thing.”

According to the TikTok user, she expressed concerns to the boss about the questionable request, telling them the money they would save was “insignificant”.

Two weeks after the boss made the first request, she claims to have received a threat on the answering machine.

On voicemail, she says she was told she would be fired if she didn’t meet the demand.

“If I refused to cut their pay rates, I would be fired,” she said during the TikTok video.

The same night she got the voicemail, the TikToker says she went straight to the office to pack her things.

The next morning, she claims to have “went in and told every single member of staff in the building” that she had been given an ultimatum.

“I apologize for the s*** storm I just brought on her by walking out,” she said.

“I can’t believe in 2022 we still have people like this out there,” she said in the video.
