My horrible prom dress brought me to tears – I had it custom made abroad but it turned out NOTHING to my liking

For many high school students, prom is a particularly big deal.

It’s a special night to dress up, but one young woman was in tears at her prom look.

A student from the UK named Rachel wrote in a video that she had her prom dress custom made in Nigeria.

However, the end product was not what she had hoped for.

Rachel had requested a red dress that featured an intricate beaded design, a long train and large ruffles down one side.

But the picture the tailor sent Rachel of the finished product looked very different from the dress Rachel originally sent.

Instead, her dress featured a large sequin pattern that was completely different from what Rachel had envisioned.

It was also a darker shade of red and wasn’t as form fitting as the dress Rachel had wanted.

In the comments, people agreed that the dress wasn’t what Rachel wanted.

One person wrote, “I pray it’s just the lighting beast.”

Another added: “Girls I’m so sorry.”

“I’m crying for you?! What the heck is that?” read a third comment.

Pointing out that the dress Rachel wanted would have been very expensive to make, someone else wrote, “The first one will probably cost AT LEAST $10,000 I hate to say this but you get what you pay for.” ‘ to which Rachel replied, ‘It was just last minute due to rush.’

Luckily, Rachel revealed in a subsequent video that the dress was slightly better in person than in pictures.

She said: “I’ll give it to them, the dress was incomplete and adjustments needed to be made to the bodice of the dress.”

Rachel then revealed the final look, saying, “The color is a lot better with the right lighting, obviously it’s not quite what I wanted…”
