FIRST date horror stories abound, especially when it comes to online dating.
A TikToker shared their chilling encounter with a Hinge match after asking her out on a suspicious first date.
TikTok user Quinn Martin shared how she was invited to a new rooftop lounge by a man she met on Hinge – but he left out one important detail.
Quinn and her unknown partner were in the process of planning their first date when he mentioned the “new place” he wanted to try.
“He suggested a rooftop lounge that just opened and is BYOB. Not many people know about it, we could try [there]’ she told her followers.
Quinn continued, “A few hours before the date, I asked him for the address. I wanted to see what the place was all about.”
The TikToker shared how she thought she was missing out when her date sent her the address.
Quinn texted her date and asked, “Is it a restaurant? What is this place? I can’t find him online.”
She explained that her date answered no but offered no further explanation.
“So I’m sitting there and I’m like, ‘There’s no way this man is trying to get me to come into his apartment building,'” Quinn said.
It turns out that their Hinge match was up to just that.
While Quinn laughed at the creepy behavior, her followers took to the comments section to share their disgust at the situation.
“I was so traumatized that the second I read it I knew where he was going with this. Why do men have the audacity? I’m so sorry,” wrote one user.
Another viewer said, “Lmao that’s bad enough but he also wanted you to bring your own alcohol to his apartment on the first date.”
“Do the men think we’ll just say, ‘Yes, see you there’ without looking for our literal safety?” asked a third person.
