WHEN it comes to creating a wedding guest list, most couples understandably only want to include people they truly love.
Bad energy from your guests can cause unnecessary drama and stress.
One woman said she banned her fiancé’s best friend Jason from her wedding over a rude remark.
In a post on Reddit, the woman explained that Jason is the “brutally honest guy” who is “not good at keeping his thoughts in his head.”
“My fiancé says he loves him despite his ‘flawed personality’ and expects me to let it go when he makes sneaky comments about me and my past as a former sex worker.”
When the couple made their guest list, Jason was the first to be invited, and the fiancé promised his bride-to-be that he would “make Jason behave.”
“My fiancé and I found out we’re pregnant. We went to my future in-laws’ house to make the announcement and Jason was already there.”
After the meal, they shared the news.
“Everyone rushed to congratulate us except Jason, who sat quietly and admittedly kept looking into my eyes in a strange way.
“I was avoiding him, but then he got up, hugged my fiancé, looked at him and said, ‘3 words man: paternity test right now.'”
The woman couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
She said that although everyone around her tried to act normal to defuse the situation, she couldn’t ignore it.
She went to Jason and asked him to repeat what he had just said.
“He tried to pull away because my face was inches from his. He said, ‘Chill, it was just a joke’, but I kept asking him to repeat what he said.
“My fiancé came up and told me to sit down and calm down.
“I went after Jason, called him an insensitive asshole and said he wasn’t officially invited to the wedding after he accused me of being unfaithful.”
At that moment, Jason got even more angry, yelling at the woman and accusing her of being dramatic because he meant no harm with the comment.
“My fiancé and his mother agreed with my irritation but said that if I didn’t invite him to the wedding I was going too far.
“My fiancé said Jason was just kidding and I didn’t get blown up over anything.”
After going home, the woman said she collapsed in her bathroom without her fiancé seeing “because he still thought I was overreacting after I told him how I felt when his.” friend ruined my joy and humiliated me in front of my audience. legislation.”
Reddit users defended the woman:
“First of all, Jason didn’t say what it was like. He was fucking offensive. You had every right to confront him, and to do so harshly. accuse you of cheating? no Not acceptable,” one wrote.
“I’m struggling to get over the fact that she even had the opportunity to confront him because her fiancé should have done so straight away to confront himself,” added another.
