It can be very expensive to equip children for the next school year.
So a nine-year-old decided to help his mom after seeing the lengthy school grocery list she placed on the fridge.
Dora Bobbins took to TikTok to share the “adorable” gesture her son made, beginning, “I challenge you to find a better child than mine.
“This list has been in my fridge since the start of the holidays,” she said.
“It’s just a checklist so I know what to get the kids to get them back to school.
“Well, children see a lot more than you think.
“So my little boy disappears upstairs, he’s a little weird, and then he comes back with a letter for me.
“And it says ‘School Grocery List on the fridge.'”
Along with the letter was a small paper envelope in which he had put about five pounds of his pocket money.
“How adorable is that?” She gushed.
“I have money for school uniforms, I don’t know why he’s worried but the fact that he’s… adorable.”
She added in the caption of her video, “I’m so proud of the guys I’m training to be great men.”
People in the comments section were quick to admit the video had left them emotional, with one writing: “I could cry right now! So nice of him.”
“Ahh, that made me well, bless him!” added another.
“He gives you pocket money to buy school supplies. This is so cute,” wrote a third.
To which Dora replied, “I would never take a penny from him, but the thought he had in mind was really nice.”
“Oh my eyes are dripping,” commented another.
“It brought me to tears what a lovely young lad you raised,” praised another.
