MultiVersus’ next two characters have been leaked

MULTIVERSUS, the multi-series character fighting game, is entering its first official season today, which will reportedly reveal new characters.

Though only in open beta to date, the game, which features characters from DC, Scooby Doo, and a host of other Warner Bros. products, has seen over 10 million players.

New characters will be introduced over time, with Rick and Morty from the TV show of the same name appearing this season.

Morty has a release date of Aug. 23 while Rick is believed to come into play sometime after that.

However, some fans claim to have spotted one promotional image for the game on their online storefront, with two characters yet to be officially revealed.

The first is Black Adam, the anti-hero from the DC Comics.

Black Adam will star in his own movie out this October, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the title role.

The appearance in the promotional art more closely resembles his look in the comics than in the film.

The second new character in what appears to be leaked art is Stripe, the main antagonist in the Gremlins films.

Everyone knows not to feed a Mogwai after midnight, and feeding Stripe turned him into a terribly destructive Gremlin.

He is shown in the ad in his Gremlin form, not his Mogwai form.

These characters were never officially announced and it’s possible the screenshot was tampered with.

A list previously appeared online claiming to be leaks of upcoming characters.

However, none of these characters are on this list.

Several DC Super Heroes and Villains are already on the list, but other characters like the Joker and Raven have been predicted.

Despite this, Black Adam wasn’t specifically mentioned, although it would make sense to increase interest ahead of the film’s release.

The Gremlins series protagonist, Gizmo, was predicted to be there.

However, since Gizmo is usually in cute Mogwai form, it makes sense that the more violent and destructive Stripe would show up in a fighting game.
