ANDOVER, MASS. (WHDH) – A motorcyclist was injured in a multiple-vehicle collision in Andover late Wednesday night, officials said.
Emergency responders responding to a report of an accident in the 464 Lowell Street area around 11 p.m. found an SUV that had collided with a sedan and struck a motorcycle, according to the Andover Police Department.
The motorcyclist, whose name was not released, was taken to Lawrence General Hospital and then transferred to Boston Medical Center. There was no immediate word on his condition.
A woman who was driving the limousine was taken to Saint’s Memorial Hospital. The extent of her injuries is unclear.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver of the SUV crossed the center line, causing the sedan driver to swerve, according to police. Both vehicles collided and the SUV drove on and hit the motorcyclist.
An investigation is ongoing.
