Motorcyclist dies in crash in southern St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A motorcyclist died Wednesday night after an accident in southern St. Louis County.

The St. Louis County Police Department said a man was killed in the crash but did not identify the victim by name or age. The accident happened around 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Telegraph and Baumgartner streets.

Investigators say the motorcyclist was heading south on Telegraph Road and was speeding. A minivan driver in the northbound Telegraph lanes attempted to turn west onto Baumgartner Road.

The motorcyclist reportedly hit the minivan and died from his injuries. No one else was injured in the crash.
