Morocco fans celebrate on the streets of London after a tremendous World Cup victory.

With a persistent performance, they upset Portugal and advanced to the semi-finals against all odds.

It is the first time an African side has advanced this far since the tournament began in 1930.

The capital’s large Moroccan population celebrated the historic victory in droves.

The scenes are a repeat of the celebrations following their round of 16 win over Spain earlier this week.

The celebrations are centered around the Edgware Road area, an area of the city where a large proportion of London’s Moroccan population resides.

Fans have blocked traffic and are being escorted by police as they make their way towards the city centre.

A first-half goal from Youssef En-Nesyri at Al Thumama Stadium was enough to secure Morocco victory.

Portugal’s former talisman Cristiano Ronaldo was benched for the second game in a row as they tried to build on a dominant display against Switzerland in the last round.

Despite pressure on Morocco and a late red card for the opponent, Portugal were unable to equalize.

The North African side now meet the winner of tonight’s clash between France and England.
