A TikToker reveals what she described as “the craziest thing” a grandmother got her grandchild for Christmas.
The video, which has over 1.3 million views and 185,000 likes, shows the TikToker (@SnoozeAlarmMom) turning to the camera to show a book that one of her children received from a grandmother. It is not clear whether it came from the child’s maternal or paternal grandmother.
The gift is a children’s book called The conspiracy against the king by Kash Patel, an adaptation of Dinesh D’Souza’s debunked conspiracy theory film 2000 mules about alleged voter fraud in the 2020 election.
In the book, former President Donald Trump is the “King”.
“Who likes to play ‘What’s the craziest thing a grandma gave their kids this year’? I think I’m winning,” the TikToker said in the video. “If you said a terrible picture book about pro-Trump propaganda, then you were right.”
TikTok users who commented on the video were overwhelmingly unhappy with the gift.
“For children?? Yet they are clamoring about the indoctrination of children by other groups,” said one.
“Just why?” another wrote.
“Do you have a charcoal grill? That’ll hold a little fire,” said another.
In the videos below, @SnoozeAlarmMom read portions of the Alt-Right children’s book.
“The current king, King Donald, toured his kingdom, delivering speeches to vast crowds of his loving people, asking them to keep the kingdom great by re-electing him.” The conspiracy against the king says supposedly.
“Donald’s opponent Joe spent most of his time in the basement of his mansion. And when he gave speeches, no one came.”
She also described the book as “the worst story ever told.”
In another TikTok, @SnoozeAlarmMom noted that the grandparents are never left unsupervised or with their kids for long periods of time.
According to the book listing on Amazon The conspiracy against the king is “full of false heralds and Warden Komey snails,” presumably referring to former FBI Director James Comey. The book attempts to “bring the whole family a fantastic retelling of Hillary’s horrific conspiracy against Trump.”
Although most reviews are positive, one person who gave it a star described the book as “propaganda for children” and “a whiny hoax about the Russia investigation.”
A TikToker commenting on the video wondered if all grandmothers are Trump supporters.
“Am I the only person left with an 81 year old mom/gma who is liberal?!? She sent us all 45 sucked cards! Haha,” they wrote.
@SnoozeAlarmMom didn’t respond to a request for comment posted on one of her TikToks.
