Mom says she had to do 3 jobs from home

A woman on TikTok says she worked three jobs from home to make ends meet and afford Christmas gifts for her kids.

TikTok user Kay (@thtgrlkayy) opened up about her situation on Monday. As of Tuesday, the video had gone viral with almost two million views. In the video, Kay throws peace signs at the camera while Moe’s “Outta There” plays.

“If you’re 3 months behind on your rent, single mom, broke, no [money] for Christmas. So you find 3 WFH jobs and you catch up and your kids have presents under the tree,” Kay writes in the video’s text overlay.

In the caption, Kay adds: “No one could ever make me feel bad about what I do!! PERIOD. & if you want help or have any questions send me a message! I want everyone to win.”

Kay doesn’t elaborate on what her jobs are. In response to a user asking why people who advertise homework jobs never say what they do, she wrote that she didn’t advertise their jobs because “the people here are mean and hateful.” However, she says that anyone with questions can email the address in her bio.

While many viewers applauded the mother for her rush, others questioned her methods and said they couldn’t find work from home.

“Please, I can’t find one right now,” commented one viewer.

“I’ve been trying to get a remote job for 6 months now,” wrote another.

Other moms shared what they did in similar situations to Kay’s.

“Single mom.. Got my second today! I am currently looking for my third. 2023 is definitely a money mission!” wrote one user.

“And that’s how I got into adult entertainment,” shared another. “Within a month I caught up with everything and never left my house.”
