A terrified mother was forced to lock herself and her children in a public toilet to escape a man who allegedly sexually assaulted her in the street, she claims.
Megan Hollimould, 21, said she was walking down the street with her two sons, aged one and three, when a man “stopped” her and asked for a hug.
The mother said no, insisting she wasn’t a “hugging person” and telling him “sorry, I have to go”.
But when Megan tried to walk to a Lidl supermarket in Grimsby, the stranger followed her, she claimed.
Megan said: “He kept asking me for a hug or a kiss and he got more and more excited.
“Then he started touching my chest, butt and hips. I told him not to touch me and he started to hold on to the stroller. It was awful.
“It happened continuously until we arrived at Lidl. People just drove by and watched.’
When the family got to Lidl, Megan said she locked her and the boys in a toilet stall while the stranger allegedly banged on the door and tried to get in.
Megan called a friend, who then called the police and arrested a 26-year-old on suspicion of sexual assault.
The traumatized mother said: “It just really scared me. I haven’t left the house since it happened.’
Megan decided to waive her automatic right to anonymity as a suspected sexual assault victim to speak out about what happened to her.
Police are investigating and are appealing for witnesses with information to come forward.
