MoDOT closures are taking place in northern St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Traffic may be disrupted on a busy stretch of road in North County this week. Closures could affect drivers on I-270 and New Florissant Road.
I-270 is experiencing significant traffic problems. In fact, MoDOT is closed both during the day and at night.
They should take place on Monday and last until this Saturday. Crews are scheduled to close one lane in each direction on New Florissant Road in this immediate area each day between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. During this time, one lane in each direction on I-270 at New Florissant Road is also scheduled to be closed as needed.
MoDOT also says crews will completely close New Florissant Road between Dunn and Pershall Roads every night between 8pm and 5am. Up to two lanes on I-270 will also be closed as needed during these night and night hours.
MoDOT explained that there are diversions for drivers using the New Florissant Road. These detours affect both Dunn Road and Pershall Road.
MoDOT said the closures allow crews to complete the final stages of construction for the new I-270 bridge over New Florissant Road. All of this is part of the ongoing $278 million I-270 North project focused on infrastructure upgrades along the North County Corridor.
