Missourians can get $750 for water and sewer bills

ST. LOUIS — Missourians can get up to $750 in water and sewer bills American Missouri Water and MSD project clear. Both work to educate customers about their Water Assistance Program for Low-Income Households (LIHWAP).
The program is a “temporary, government-funded assistance program” that helps low-income families with their water and/or sewage bills.
Customers can receive a one-time subsidy of up to $750 for their bills, including disconnect or reconnect fees, threat of disconnection, overdue bills, and pending bills.
Only 1,100 people statewide have used this program for their water bills. MSD has seen around 4,000 people use this program for their wastewater bills. The program runs until September 2023.
