Missouri man killed in crash near Edwardsville, Illinois
MADISON COUNTY, Illinois — One person died in a car accident near Edwardsville, Illinois on Friday morning. He was identified as Paul W. Wisdom, 78, of Park Hills, Missouri. His preliminary cause of death appears to be blunt chest trauma.
The incident happened around 5:50 a.m. on Illinois Route 143 on North University Drive. Illinois State Police said one person was in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Wisdom’s pickup truck went off the road and rolled over, throwing the man out of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
Burial arrangements are being conducted by Cozean Memorial Chapel in Farmington, Missouri.
