Milton school on lockdown after bullet found in bathroom – Boston News, Weather, Sports

Milton, Mass. (WHDH) – A school in Milton has been in lockdown for almost two hours after a bullet was found in the sink of a second floor bathroom.

First responders from Milton, Boston and Quincy immediately arrived at Pierce Middle School looking for a weapon that may have accompanied the bullet.

“In light of recent events across the country, I fully understand that situations like this create significant concern and anxiety, along with a need to know precise details,” Superintendent James Jette said in an email to parents. “Unfortunately, in such a situation, no one is able to answer the phone or emails. The focus is on responding to the emergency.”

He said communications for families will follow as soon as possible, including announcing the end of lockdown.

An ambulance has been called to the school in an unrelated matter to assist a student with a known illness.
