Millie Bobby Brown ‘very ready’ for ‘Stranger Things’ to end

stranger things will only have five seasons when it ends, but it’s been around for ages. The Netflix smash began filming nearly nine years ago, which is a long time for actors to hold on to characters, even in an age of never-ending franchises. Sure enough, some of its actors are not only completely satisfied that it’s finally ending, they’re almost relieved. David Harbor recently spoke of being glad it’s almost over. Now another star is saying the same thing.
In a recent interview with Seventeen (as caught by The Hollywood Reporter), Millie Bobby Brown — who rose to stardom as the telepathic and psychokinetic El — meddled in the looming demise of the show that made her famous.
“I’m definitely ready to graduate,” Brown said. “I feel like a lot of the story has been told now, and we know about it, it’s been a very long time in our lives.”
Not that she’s ungrateful. Because of the show, she says, “I’m able to write stories that are important to me and focus on the big picture.” She added that she’s “really grateful” that the show came into her life.
Of course, both Harbor and Brown have yet to film that final season, which begins filming in May. But at least the end is near.
