Miles leads TCU with a 76-62 win over Runnin ‘Utes

Fort Worth, Texas • Mike Miles peaked his career with 28 points and TCU beat Utah 76-62 on Wednesday night.

Emanuel Miller and JaKobe Coles added 10 points each to Horned Frogs (7-1). Miles also had eight rebounds and four assists.

Branden Carlson and Both Gach each have 16 points for Runnin’ Utes (6-3).

TCU shot 45% long and had a 43-33 bounce advantage but Utah, hitting 34%, was 21 of 25 from the foul line for a 10-point advantage.

The game is in a neutral location, the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.

Miles had 14 points when Horned Frogs led 18-15 midway through the first half and never fell behind again. Utes finished the game at 22 but Miles played three points to take an 11-0 lead and TCU a 36-27 lead in the first half.

The horned frogs couldn’t shake Utah in the second half but Utes never got closer than six in the first minute. Gach played three points at 3:48 to make it 66-58 but Utah made only one of his last five shots.

TCU, whose only loss was to Santa Clara, played against Texas A&M in Houston on Saturday.

Utah, the 18 BYU and 20 USC losers, are home to Manhattan on Saturday. Miles leads TCU with a 76-62 win over Runnin ‘Utes
