Midweek Fantasy Basketball Player: Week 9

If you’re one of those basketball players who fantasizes about starting the lineup at the start of the week, checking in and then coming back seven days later to see how things go, then this post isn’t for you.

This is for those who are mulling over the day and keeping track of categories as the days go by. Maybe you need some support to get through and win the week, or maybe a major injury forces you to rethink a category you previously considered stable. The goal here is to target specific players who are split into less than half of the Yahoo! Tournament of people will help you put you in the circle of winners. Primarily we’re looking at players who could feature in 12-team tournaments, but there will also be some deeper selection when available.

As always happens when it comes to streaming, it’s possible that some of these recommended options are worthy of a more permanent addition. But in order to hold out for a long time, you must first make a pickup truck. No matter where you’re falling short, here are some names to consider to help you make up in the short term. Score – Streaming Options

Anfernee Simons – PG / SG – Portland Trailblazer (42% lead)

The scarcity of the Blazers is unusual this year. After being so skinny last week Dennis Smith Jr appeared in this very article, this week we revisit an old friend in Simons. In Simon’s return to the squad, he scored 26 points in 33 minutes, which was the first game he played without CJ McCollum.

Tyus Jones – PG – Memphis Grizzlies (42%)

Grizzlies continued marching without Ja Morant. The 8/9 winner without their star PG, Jones played a major part in filling those shoes. Jones has registered more than 6 assists in all but one of those nine games (35 points in my Sixers, of which he only played 24 minutes), and the figures to go on to witness a big ball-handling role advanced while Morant remained out. .

Other live players:

Rebounds – Streaming option

PJ Tucker – PF / size – Miami Heat (18% of the list)

Bam Adebayo has undergone surgery and is expected to be out until around the end of January, which leaves a huge hole in Miami’s defense and defense. Tucker has seen his minutes spike in the last 3 games and has reacted positively, including a fantastic game at Cleveland where he scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 kills. 3 point result. Tucker is a savvy veteran who has been brought in to fill whatever role is needed for him and his opportunities will continue to come.

Other live players:

Unit – Streaming option

Nerlens Noel – PF / size – New York Knicks (41% highly rated)

After Julius Randle, Noel has the role of the safest base for the Knicks. Noel has always been known to be a defensive player, and this year was no different; Noel currently averages over 1 Block and Steal per game. Noel recently replaced Mitchell Robinson in the Knicks’ starting lineup, and a thin Noel statistic could be a good wave to head into at the moment.

Other live players:

Thief – Streaming option

De’Anthony Melton – PG / SG – Memphis Grizzlies (47%)

We’ve covered the Grizzlies already, so I’ll be brief on this; Melton fits our criteria for under 50% and has multiple steals in 5 of his last 6 games. That was not a typo. If you need help with your thieving genre and Melton is available, he’s definitely the best possible choice here.

Other live players:

Three people – Streaming option

Cameron Johnson – SF / PF – Phoenix Suns (30% appreciated)

Rerun it with Cam Johnson this week, as he has continued to light it up from the deep. Johnson extended his streak of 10 points or more to 7 and his 2 or more points made 3s to 10 games. Johnson has officially become the darling of the analysts as he ended up achieving a magical 3-point shot rate of over 40%. Grab him while (if) you can!

Percent School Target – Streaming option

Guillermo Hernangomez – OLD – New Orleans Pelicans (19%)

Hernangomez brother formerly known as Willy has been extremely productive in the nine games he has played in this year, with his season’s %FG of a very impressive 69.6% overall. In 5 games of full workload he has played since returning from injury; Hernangomez did not take less than six pictures or shoot less than 50% in a competition. The Pelicans have recently shown signs of life, and Hernangomez is quite a contributing factor. If you have the space/need it is likely that Hernangomez becomes a consistent fantasy property.

You might want to get used to seeing Hernangomez in this one because given the rate at which he’s playing compared to the percentage of him being added to the roster, he would be the best under-50% ranked pick. in a period of time. The Spaniard is shooting 62.7% of the ball so far this year and has doubles matches coming up. I’m not sure how often you need to doubles, but Hernangomez is a monster on the attack board and it’s the simplest formula for a high %FG.

Week 3: I’ve decided to keep adding to last week’s Hernangomez article as long as I consider him my top pick for this stat. Hernangomez clearly has the reserve role, allocating him around 20 minutes per game, and he continues to shoot effectively inside. It’s nothing sexy, but the numbers are there.

Percentage of free throws – Streaming option

Lonnie Walker IV – SG / SF – Chicago Bulls (10% rated)

Walker is taking 86.4% free-throw free kicks from the free-throw line with his career-best 1.7 free throws per game. Walker is not a shooter, and he likes to attack the belt. Walker has tried and taken 11 free throws in his last three games, which makes Walker one of the thinnest pieces of advice I give this traditionally weak group of players.
