Melbourne is trembling through the summer cold front, but a warm change is imminent

Heavy rain and cold weather have not stopped outdoor events across the city, such as Twilight Polo on West St Kilda beach, which a spokesman has confirmed will go ahead as planned today.

“The weather has caused some challenges and headaches in building the site over the past few days,” the spokesman said. “No doubt there were some costume changes this morning too, but the prognosis for the 2pm kick-off looks clear.”

According to the organizers, the Laneway Festival in Flemington will also take place as planned.

Temperatures in Melbourne are set to rise steadily in the coming days with an expected high of 25 degrees on Wednesday.
