Meghan Markle’s half-sister claims she ‘didn’t reach out’ to stroke-stricken father.

The Duchess of Sussex’s half-sister claims Meghan hasn’t spoken to her father since he suffered a massive stroke, but the “door is wide open”.
Thomas Markle, 77, fell ill last week ahead of his planned trip to the UK for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The retired Hollywood lighting director was taken to a hospital near his home in Rosarito, Mexico, before being transferred to a medical facility in California.
He was released over the weekend but can only speak a few words and faces an “uphill battle” to speak again.
Samantha Markle appeared on Good Morning Britain after reports emerged claiming Meghan had reached out to her estranged father, who she has not seen in several years.
GMB presenter Richard Madeley asked if she had seen any signs the Duchess had tried to contact him.
“We haven’t,” she said. “I’ve heard rumors that she was trying to reach my father’s camp, but my brother and I are my father’s camp and his phone number has never changed, his address has never changed.
“Even if he can’t speak, his understanding of the language is perfect. She could write to him. She could contact him and he can write back.”
She added: “These rumors are not true. She didn’t get in touch.’
Ms Markle was then asked if her father would be flying to London and trying to reconcile with Meghan and Harry on camera.
“Well, who told you about this plan?” She answered. “It sounds like the PR guys drank too much mercury in the water.”
Ms Markle added her father is recovering “remarkably well” after his stroke and feels “blessed to be alive”.
