“The story is quite similar to the movie,” said Nadina Hassan, who played Regina George in the musical. “It follows the same trajectory but seeing it on a stage is different.”

For the die-hard fans out there: Yes, they retained a lot of the iconic lines during the stage production.

Everyone knows the classic stories – “She didn’t even come here”, “So hot”, “You can’t sit with us”.

Now, with a new cast of actors touring the country, Hassan is taking on the role of The Last Meaningful Girl – Regina George.

“So you’re playing Regina George’s iconic character – I know it’s not Wednesday but I’m wearing pink anyway, so playing a character that so many people know and love Or really despise it, what will it be like?”

Hassan said: “I am a big fan of the movie. “I didn’t identify with her, as I’m sure not a lot of people identified with her, but that makes it more fun to play because you can go for a different range of the person you are. It’s fun.”

Hassan says she couldn’t have asked for a better show to star in when the theater returns.

“I can’t wait. It’s just the best feeling when opening a performance in a new city,” Hassan said. The adrenaline rush in a new place, with a new audience and everything, is really, very exciting. ”
