McDonald’s employees add codes to customers’ orders for points

In a viral video on TikTok, a McDonald’s employee added their code to a random customer’s order to receive redemption points for free food. Many users in the comments warned against doing this, sparking debate about the consequences.

“Those who get it will understand it duh,” user @nnennaaaaa captioned TikTok. The worker seems to be implying that the video is a joke, using hashtags like #comedy and #jokes.

The video shows the worker entering her code on the POS system and it has received over 1.3 million views.

Several TikTok users in the comments expressed support for the workers’ efforts to get free food.

Several users who claim to do the same have shared the consequences they faced.

“Don’t do that to the dog, I was booked and suspended for three days,” said a third.

However, others claim that they have experienced minor consequences in comparison.
