McDonald’s Drive-Thru staff apparently calling customers out

Viral TikTok footage shows a McDonald’s employee apparently calling a customer to continue adding their order just before closing time.

Praise, called user @hailsmaebackup on TikTok, uploaded the video, write “omg mcdonalds” in the caption.

The customer, presumably Hails, can be heard asking at the drive-in store, “Can you add large fries in that?” The menu screen showed her total order already at $61.30.

The McDonald’s employee was clearly frustrated with the request, even when Hails said please, as he replied, “You know we’re closing in 10 minutes, you fucker. Come on.”

As of Wednesday, TikTok has amassed more than 366,000 views. Hails later indicated in the comments that the interaction was staged. However, unsuspecting onlookers were quick to defend the employee.

Other fast food and customer service staff also joined in, expressing their satisfaction for the staff.

One viewer said: “The last 10 minutes I did not reply to the person who said lmao.

Another viewer commented: “A year in the foodservice industry kept me from ordering any food an hour before closing, perhaps you’ve never worked in the foodservice industry?”

Another wrote, “As a former fast food employee, ordering food within 20 minutes of finishing is messed up…especially a large order.”

User @hailsmaebackup did not immediately respond to Daily Dot’s request for comment.
