Maren Morris and Marcus Mumford cover “Look At Us Now”

Maren Morris and Marcus Mumford reunited for a cover of “Look At Us Now (Honeycomb),” one of the songs from Amazon Prime’s new series. Daisy Jones and the Six.

Mumford had originally served as a co-creator on the show’s soundtrack. The duo also shared a behind-the-scenes video of their transfer.

“This time we stripped the song back down to acoustic guitar and vocals – that’s how it was written – and then built it up from there until we ended up with an arrangement we liked,” Mumford said.

“I’ve been a long-time fan of Maren’s – both her solo music and her work with The Highwomen – and this duet needed a voice like hers,” he added Rolling Stone. “We’re honestly so grateful that she agreed.”

Morris dealt with Daisy’s fictional vocal parts while Blake Mills again produced the acoustic recording.

“Shows that showcase what it takes to become a band, or what it’s really like to be on the road, can go wrong so many times. One of the components of Daisy Jones is that they have chosen to ground this fictional universe with real songwriting,” added Morris. “The show’s music, created by Blake Mills, and the actors’ incredible performances bring a heartbreaking authenticity to this world.”
