The United players are preparing for their pre-season tour which will take them to Thailand where they play Liverpool in Bangkok on July 12 before traveling to Australia for games in Melbourne and Perth.
The new manager will work hard to translate his style of play into a side that looked lacking in structure, ideas and confidence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick last season.
It’s a tall order for Ten Hag in his first job in English football but Rashford reckons it will make a quick impact and it will be clear to everyone.
“At the beginning of the pre-season you want to increase your fitness,” said Rashford. ‘[You want to] back to what it’s like to play in the Premier League.
“When a team changes identity and changes the purpose of football, it’s pretty obvious. I think you will be able to see it.’
Rashford is looking forward to returning to the kind of pre-season he was used to before the pandemic and believes it will be a good time for the squad to coalesce and build team spirit under their new manager.
“We all enjoy getting away and spending this time together,” said the England international. “Being away from home for so long is [the team is] like your little family.
“It’s going to be a nice feeling. We couldn’t travel due to Covid and we missed that.
“It’s always a big part of our pre-season so it’s exciting to be able to go to those places again.”
