Marcelo paid special tribute to Raul during his emotional excitement Real Madrid farewell ceremony.

The Brazilian left-back has spent the last 15 years at Madrid after joining Madrid in 2007.

During his time at Madrid, Marcelo has helped the team win 25 trophies including six La Liga titles and five Champions League titles.

Raul was Madrid’s captain when Marcelo joined the club aged 18 from Brazilian side Fluminense.

And during his last press conference with Madrid on Monday, Marcelo paid an emotional tribute to the former striker.

“Raul, Capi, I want to thank you for the details you had with me,” said Marcelo.

“When my son Enzo was born you gave me a gift with many things for the baby and gave me a lot of advice.

“You have always been very loving, you and your family. I will never forget that.

“From then on I started to see you as a role model and I wanted to follow him.

“I’m leaving here to thank you for the strong example you have set.

“I’ve never said it before and I wanted to thank you personally.”
