Manitoba’s Top RCMP Officer Retires – Winnipeg

The chief police officer in charge of them Manitoba RCMP has announced her resignation.
Deputy Commissioner Jane MacLatchy disclosed their plans to step down in a publication on Thursday.
MacLatchy has been with the RCMP for more than 34 years and was the Commanding Officer of the Manitoba RCMP since February 2019.
“My career with the RCMP has taken me across Canada and to Manitoba three years ago,” MacLatchy said in the press release.
“It has truly been an honor to be the Commanding Officer of the Manitoba RCMP. Over the past three years, I have seen countless examples of how the nearly 1,500 employees of this incredible organization have made a positive difference in the lives of Manitobans.
“You have consistently done what you can to ensure the safety of the communities we are so proud to serve in this province. It has been a privilege to work with them and see their dedication and professionalism firsthand.”
MacLatchy’s last day of work is June 3rd.
The RCMP says the process to select a replacement for MacLatchy will begin shortly.
