Sunday marks five years since the Manchester Arena bombing during an Ariana Grande concert, killing 22 and injuring hundreds.
United travel to Crystal Palace for the final day of the Premier League, while Manchester City host Aston Villa and are believed to be favorites to be crowned Premier League champions.
Both United and City will sport the bee symbol on their shirts, while City and Aston Villa players will also wear black armbands as a mark of respect during their game.
The worker bee has been a symbol of Manchester since the Industrial Revolution and has been used to reflect the industrious, resilient nature of the city and its residents since that pivotal time in history.
A statement from United said: “On the fifth anniversary of the attack, United players will wear the Manchester worker bee symbol, which has become synonymous with the spirit and resilience of the city after the bombing, on our shirts for the final game of the Premier League wear of the season.
“The bee, which has been a symbol of Manchester for more than 150 years, is positioned prominently next to the club crest on our away shirt as United commemorate all the victims of that heartbreaking night.
“Manchester has been a united city in the hours, days, weeks, months and years since the attack and everyone affected by that tragic evening at the Manchester Arena will forever be on the minds of the club.”
Sunday’s Premier League games start at 16:00 GMT.
