UEFA’s Technical Observers Panel has selected the top 10 goals of the past year, with Karim Benzema emerging as the winner.
The Real Madrid superstar’s first goal in his hat-trick against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge topped the UEFA judges’ charts as it beat team-mate Vinicius Junior’s goal against Shakhtar Donetsk in the group stage.
Telles’ strike against Villarreal finished sixth in the group and Thiago’s goal against Porto finished tenth in a star-studded line-up that included Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi.

While the order of the top 10 was chosen by the UEFA jury, fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite goal and another of the contenders could prevail in the popular vote.
