WOBURN, MASS. (WHDH) – A man facing criminal charges in connection with an attempted kidnapping in Burlington is expected to stand before a judge on Wednesday.
Tyler Healey, 23, is scheduled to face charges of attempted kidnapping, assault with attempted rape, assault with intent to commit a felony and indecent assault and assault on a person over the age of 14 in Woburn Circuit Court, reported to Burlington Police Commissioner Thomas Browne, and Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan.
Healey, who has ties to Newton and Waltham, was arrested in Winthrop and escorted to the Burlington Police Department in handcuffs after being arrested on Tuesday in connection with an incident that took place on the side of the Middlesex Turnpike on Sunday night, the sources said the authorities with.
Officers launched an investigation after receiving an 911 call from a woman who said she was driving home from work when she believed another woman was being dragged away on foot by a male suspect just before 8:30 p.m have, the police said.
During the attack, investigators said Healey groped the victim and removed her shirt. Healey then allegedly fled on foot and climbed a fence at the public works department after a Good Samaritan drove by to help the victim and called 911.

When she called 911, the victim confirmed that she did not know the suspect. She managed to escape and police found her moments later upon arrival.
“I really have to thank the victim in this case and the 911 caller,” Police Chief Thoman Browne said. “The victim, as you must have seen in the video, fought the fight of her life.”
The victim, who wished to remain anonymous, told 7NEWS that she left work when she noticed him following her. She said she did her best to fight him off because she feared for her life. She suffered bumps and bruises, but was not seriously injured.
She added that she is now afraid to leave her apartment.
Investigators said they believe the attack was indiscriminate.
“What I hope is a wake up call for all of us, myself included, that we need to be vigilant that this was a crime of opportunity and we need to make sure we take those opportunities away from people like that,” Browne said during a news conference.
The incident is being further investigated.
