Man shot, killed Saturday night in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — A murder investigation is underway Saturday night after a man was shot dead in north St. Louis.

Police responded to the 5300 block of Geraldine Avenue in the Mark Twain neighborhood just after 9 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found a man in a car who had sustained a gunshot wound.

According to investigators, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances leading to the shooting are not known at this time. There is no suspicious information.
