Man missing on Sydney’s Northern Beaches

Police have renewed their appeal for an elderly man who has been missing from Sydney’s northern beaches since Tuesday.

He is known to visit the North Head and Manly areas.

Richard Gottschald, 81, was last seen at a house on Reddall Street, Manly, around 5pm on Tuesday.

Police were notified after Gottschald could not be located or contacted.

Despite a search and SMS campaign, he is still missing.

Gottschald’s family is concerned for his well-being as he suffers from an illness that requires medication.

“Richard is described as Caucasian, approximately 175 cm tall, of slim build, with balding hair,” police wrote in a call for public support.

“He walks with a limp and is supported by a red walker.”

He is known to visit the North Head and Manly areas.
