Man in critical condition after woman found dead in west Sydney home
A man remains in critical condition in hospital and is under police protection after a woman he knew was found dead at a house in western Sydney on Tuesday night.
At around 8.15pm, police were called to the house on Alice Street in Rooty Hill due to concerns for the woman’s wellbeing.

When officers entered the home, they found that the woman, believed to be in her 50s, had died inside the home. She has not yet been officially identified.
Police also found a 50-year-old man with injuries to his neck and arms.
The injuries are believed to be self-inflicted, police said.
The man was taken to Westmead Hospital.

“A crime scene has been identified and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing,” the police said in a statement.
