Man faces 2 counts of child molestation in Miami-Dade

MIAMI – A 57-year-old man appeared in court Friday to face charges of child molestation in Miami-Dade County.

Correctional officers have been holding Hugo Alfonso Diaz without bail at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center since Thursday afternoon.

Prosecutors filed two counts of charges against Diaz on Friday and he pleaded not guilty, Miami-Dade court records show.

In one case, Diaz faces two counts of molesting a minor, two counts of molesting a child, and one count of molesting a child.

In another case, Diaz faces lewd and lewd abuse of a child and charges of lewd and lewd behavior on a child.
