Man dies in Forbes Street unit

Police are investigating what led to a man with stab wounds to his upper body being found in Sydney’s inner west.
After reports of an assault, emergency services were called to Forbes Street in Newtown around 7pm on Friday.
Upon arrival, police found a man with stab wounds to his upper body in a block of flats. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
He has not been officially identified, but is believed to be in his 60s.
The police located the scene of the crime and are investigating. According to investigations, a 43-year-old man was arrested around 9.30 a.m. in a nearby apartment block on Saturday.
He was taken to Newtown Police Station, where he is currently assisting police with their investigation.
