(Leah Hogsten | The Salt Lake Tribune) Early snow enthusiasts will be skiing at Snowbasin Resort on November 21, 2022.

A man died Sunday after he and another person collided while skiing at Snowbasin Resort.

Snowbasin said the man was 82 years old.

Ski patrols responded, found the man unresponsive, and began life-saving efforts. Weber Fire Department District officials said the man went into cardiac arrest, but it’s not clear if it was a result of the crash.

“The Snowbasin team is heartbroken by this loss and extends its deepest condolences to the guest’s family and everyone involved,” Snowbasin said in a statement.
