Man charged with Cape Cod murder – Boston News, Weather, Sports

TRURO, MASS. (WHDH) – According to the Cape and Islands Attorney’s Office, a man has been charged with murder in Truro.

Rescue workers responded to a health check around 9:30 p.m. Friday and found a man, Adam Howe, 34, standing in the front yard, who rescue workers realized was a burning body.

Howe ran inside and locked the door before the Cape Cod Regional SWAT team later gained entry and arrested Howe.

The Cape Cod District Attorney reported that evidence pointed to Howe’s mother, Susan Howe, 70, is the deceased.

Howe is said to be being screened for mental health issues based on discussions with and information from family members.

State Police detectives are investigating the matter along with Truro Police and the State Fire Marshalls Office.
