Man blocks combine harvester because he got dust on his sandwiches

An angry picnicker jumped in front of a giant combine harvester in a potentially deadly protest after accusing the driver of ruining his family meal.

The angry protester said their sandwiches were covered in dust by the huge vehicle.

The online video, titled “Dusty Sandwich Man (Combine Protestor)” shows the intruder striding through wheat as farm machinery approaches.

The clip, posted by Twitter user Berkshire Farm Girl, shows her and her mother rushing to the scene in her pickup truck after reports of a man between harvests, before crossing his arms in the path of the speeding combine discovered to him.

As they approach, the mother can be heard from her window talking to a farm hand as they frantically chase him.

She screams, “Oh my God” as a figure in a red t-shirt and shorts confronts the combine harvester, which can weigh up to 100 tons.

The mother says, “Hello, could you stop by?”

When he ignores her, she goes over to speak to him.

He yells at her, ‘We’re having a family dinner and he sprayed our table twice! … I don’t care what your name is!’

Dubbed a “crazy man” on the mother’s daughter’s social media feed, she said he stormed the field twice after his “sandwich was covered in dust” during Saturday’s harvest.

The Berkshire-based farmer added: “Yesterday an angry member of the public jumped around the headland in front of the combine because his sandwich was covered in dust.”

It’s not clear where the man was enjoying his picnic when his family was apparently dusted.

Berkshire Farm Girl added, “Then he came out again and was in front of the combine. He was very lucky not to have been hit by a vehicle.

“Thanks mom for de-escalating.”
