Man arrested after hitting girlfriend and pulling hair out of her head in North Miami Beach, police say

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A man was arrested Wednesday after hitting his girlfriend and pulling hair out of her head in North Miami Beach, police say.

McGraw Dige Moricin, 37, faces charges of domestic crime, witness tampering and robbery.

According to the arrest report, officers received a call about a man punching a woman near the 1000 block of Northeast 160th Street.

Upon arrival, police said they found the victim crying on the floor of a house and were told Moricin had hit her.

Police said they saw a large bruise on the victim’s forehead, as well as some swelling around her eyes and cheeks on either side of her face.

Authorities said the victim told police some of her hair had been pulled out during the attack and officers observed a strand of hair being removed from the back of her head.

According to the police, the victim complained of a severe headache and cried.

Investigators said the victim told police Moricin and she got into an argument because he was jealous and accused her of talking to another man while they were in their vehicle as they returned from a dinner in a Restaurant in Aventura came.

According to the arrest report, during the argument the victim stated that she tried to contact the emergency services, but the defendant grabbed the phone from her hand.

As the woman got out of the vehicle, Moricin continued to pursue her and then reportedly pushed her to the ground.

Police said while the woman was lying on the ground, the defendant hit her “multiple times”.

Authorities said a nearby neighbor heard the screams outside and decided to contact police.

Police said Moricin then fled in the woman’s vehicle and kept her cellphone.

The victim was taken to the emergency room at Jackson North Medical Center for her injuries.

The woman told police she had been in a relationship with Moricin for the past six years.

Police said family members of the victim told them the couple had previous encounters with domestic violence issues.

Moricin was taken into custody and taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
