Man arrested after 34-year-old woman found dead in home | British News

A man has been arrested after a woman was found dead at a house in Bournemouth, a seaside town on the south coast.
Police broke down the door of a house in Rosemount Road, Alum Chine, after being called by concerned paramedics around midday yesterday.
The body of a 34-year-old woman was found and a man whom police said they knew was arrested at the scene.
He was taken to hospital under escort to have his serious injuries treated, Dorset Police added. The man is waiting to be questioned by the police.
Candles, flowers and other gifts were laid in front of the woman’s family home today.
Richard Marson, who lives on Rosemount Road, told the Bournemouth Daily Echo today: “It’s so sad.” Really shocking. It’s just so sad.
“Forensics was there until 11 p.m. last night. We took down some flowers and put them on the wall down there.
“We put them there around midnight.”
A Dorset Police spokesman said yesterday: “A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was sadly found dead at an address in Bournemouth.” The two are known to each other.
“We received a call from Ambulance at 12.19pm on Friday asking for assistance at an address on Rosemount Road. A 34-year-old local woman was found dead at the scene.
“Your family has been informed.”
“A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and subsequently taken to hospital for treatment of his serious injuries.”
“The detainee and the victim know each other.”
Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) Detective Inspector Mark Jenkins said a cordon was in place on the road.
“I urge anyone who saw or heard anything in the Rosemount Road area at the relevant time to please come forward,” he said.
“While the investigation continues, there will be an increased police presence in the area and I urge anyone with information or concerns to speak to officers.”
