Man arrested accused of creating ‘school gunner’ signs in New Hampshire – Boston News, Weather, Sports

WARNER, NH (WHDH) — New Hampshire State Police officers arrested a 61-year-old man accused of posting signs in three communities, including some that read “school gunman.”

Guy Hanson of Pittsfield, NH, was arrested in Warner, NH for one felony count of falsifying physical evidence and three misdemeanor charges including false reporting to law enforcement, false public alarm and criminal threat.

Hanson allegedly placed these signs at various locations in the New Hampshire cities of Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield. Law enforcement agencies were immediately dispatched to all schools in these communities, and many initiated lockdowns.

After a joint local, state, and federal investigation, they found no credible threat to the communities or schools. No other suspects have been charged, but anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact State Police Detective Sgt. Kempes Corbally at Kempes.R.Corbally@DOS.NH.GOV.
