Man accused of shooting dead woman in Southwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Florida. – Miami-Dade Police are investigating a shooting that took place outside a home in southwest Miami-Dade on Wednesday night.

Officials said officers moved into the area of ​​Southwest 207th Terrace and 124th Place shortly after 7 p.m. after receiving a call about disturbance between a man and a woman.

Police said officers discovered there had been an argument outside the house which escalated, resulting in the man pulling out a gun and shooting the woman in the torso.

According to police, friends or family members took the victim to Jackson South Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition.

The man was arrested but it is currently unclear if he will be charged.

Investigators from the police department’s General Investigations Unit are investigating the shooting.
