Former Love Island star Hugo Hammond has branded Sharon Gaffka’s ‘inappropriate touching’ as ‘seriously harmful’.

During her appearance on the Saving Grace podcast, the 26-year-old reality star revealed that she no longer speaks to the gym teacher after he “joked” about her being pinched.

When asked if she’s still close to Hugo, Sharon said: “Well I was and then I cut him off really abruptly.”

She later recalled FaceTiming him later that evening “because he seemed pretty drunk and was joking about me getting spikes.”

In a statement that is no longer visible, Hugo addressed the comments on TikTok Stories, calling them “outrageous and just plain wrong.”

“First, spiking is not a topic I use in my jokes, nor do I find it funny. It’s awful to be honest,” he wrote.

“I wouldn’t joke about someone being peppered, it’s just not who I am, friend or not.

“The wild comment about inappropriate touching is outrageous and just plain wrong. Saying it is seriously damaging and paints an unfair picture of me.”

“You can’t just throw that kind of language around,” he added.

The two reality stars appeared on the seventh series of the hit dating show and were linked as friends for a couple of episodes.

After moving out of the villa, Sharon has slammed the series for an alleged lack of Asian representation, adding that she believes she has been “scapegoated” to tick a diversity box.

Speaking to The News Desk’s Tom Newton Dunn on TalkTV, Sharon shared: “Diversity comes in many different boxes.

“It’s not just ethnicity, and while I think it’s great that you know that almost 50% of the cast will be different or from different backgrounds, I still think we’re not seeing Asians in the original cast.

“And again, there’s a little bit more diversity than other previous series in terms of body size, but again, I’d still think the producers could have done a little bit more in terms of body variety.”
