Love Island: What’s Casa Amor in English?

Traditionally, Casa Amor puts relationships to the test when the Love Island contestants are separated, with the boys entering a new mansion full of fresh faces – and temptation – while the girls stay in the main mansion with a new crew of men to try , they lure them away from their partners.
Things are done a little differently this time around, however, as it’s the girls who go to the brand new mansion with a new cast of boys, while the boys stay in the original mansion, ready to face the charms of a new lineup of females castmates.
But what exactly does Casa Amor mean and how long does it last?
What does Casa Amor mean?
Although Casa Amor seems to be synonymous with “drama,” when it comes to the show, that really doesn’t mean it.
In Spanish, Casa Amor means House of Love, and it was probably named that way since the islanders go there to find love and have their existing love tested.
There’s a slew of new arrivals joining both the original mansion and Casa Amor this week, as the new girls and boys – including Ronan Keating’s son Jack – head out to test the bonds the islanders have have been closed during the show so far.
How long is Casa Amor running?
In previous years, Casa Amor lasted between three and four days.
Producers never say exactly how long Casa Amor will last each year.
However, looking back over the past few years, it could mean that later this week we’ll see the dramatic recoupling at the end of the Casa Amor stint.
The all-new Love Island continues on ITV 2 on Sunday at 9pm
