Love Island viewers liken the show to a romantic comedy where Indiyah and Dami kiss

Love Island is becoming more of a romantic comedy every day, with viewers now comparing a specific moment to an iconic moment from The Notebook.

The moment in question? Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope bump into each other and share a romantic hickey before bed.

Tonight Jay Younger and Chyna Mills were kicked out of the villa by their islanders but Dami and Summer Botwe narrowly escaped after finding themselves in the bottom two pairs.

One person who was quite pleased with Dami staying close was Indiyah, as the two had a special bond prior to the Casa Amor dramas.

Just when it looked like the couples were settling down for a bit of rest, Indiyah had other ideas when she noticed Dami was outside with Billy Brown, sleeping on the daybed.

Without wasting a moment, she sprinted out of the bedroom and he jumped off the bed as soon as he saw her coming, eventually running into his arms.

Dami picked Indiyah up, she wrapped her legs around his waist and they shared a passionate goodnight smooch.

Fans totally lived for the rom-com moment, with one calling it “a Romeo and Juliet shit.”

“This Indiyah-Dami moment was adorable,” one tweeted, while another wrote, “Dami and Indiyah have a sweet love story.”

“That scene with Dami and Indiyah was too cute, Dami better treats Indiyah like the queen she is,” added a viewer.

Though not Everyone was so excited especially after both Indiyah and Dami got back together after Casa Amor and Indiyah delivered that iconic “May the best heartthrob win” line.

When asked if Dami’s feelings are real, one viewer tweeted: “Don’t buy Dami at all. Fully aware that the vote was coming up and miraculously he declared he wanted Indiyah because he knew he would be in the last two!’

“I don’t like Dami because of what he did,” said another, while others stressed that they don’t want Indiyah “to go back to him”.

But apparently she doesn’t have time for negative neliies, telling the girls the next morning on the patio, “I really like him. When I see him, I can’t even put it into words.”

Casa Amor’s antics now appear to be water under the bridge, too, with Indiyah adding that she “don’t have time to be nitpicky.”

‘I have a great thing with Deji,’ she said, referring to their reconnection, ‘but it’s not the same.’

“But he’s not Dami!” Paige explained to a smiling Indiyah.

But will Indiyah remain loyal with the return of troublemaker Adam Collard in 2018?

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
