Lorde took Muna out to perform Kind Of Girl with her

Almost a year after the release, Muna performed a special rendition of “Kind Of Girl” from her self-titled third album. During Lorde’s Australian leg of hers solar power tour, Muna supported the New Zealand singer/songwriter as an opening act. At her last show as Lorde’s opening act in Adelaide, Lorde brought her out when she temporarily joined the band and sang a cover of ‘Kind Of Girl’.
She preceded the performance by telling the audience, “Tonight is kind of a special night. We say goodbye to our dear Muna who supported us in Australia. So I thought I’d bring them out to sing one of my favorite songs of theirs.”
She went on to reveal that the song makes her “choke”.
After the show in Adelaide, Muna took to social media to express her gratitude to Lorde and the fans.
“I am so grateful to @lorde and her wonderful band and team for putting us on this Australian leg of the tour,” the trio said in a tweet. “It was a pleasure to watch them perform and it was a great honor to sing such a girl with her on their set last night. as always very thankful for this life.”
