London: Man dies after being hit by bus that didn’t stop in Hounslow

A bus driver has been arrested after a man died when he allegedly failed to stop.

The 40-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries after Saturday night’s collision in Hounslow, west London, but later died.

The 59-year-old bus driver was arrested on suspicion of causing the death by dangerous driving and not stopping at the scene.

He was taken into custody and has since been released on bail.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place and the man’s relatives are being assisted by the police.

Detectives have urged witnesses and drivers with dashcam footage to come forward.
