London: Hundreds of people run away from the inferno at the chic Mayfair restaurant

This is the horrific moment hundreds of diners ran for their lives as a fire ripped through a chic London restaurant.
Footage shared on social media shows flames engulfing the MNKY HSE restaurant on Dover Street in Mayfair last night.
People can be heard screaming, “Go, go, go” and “Get out” as they ran under what appeared to be Christmas decorations that had caught fire.
Some could even be seen falling to the ground in a hurry to escape the flames, while others ducked and covered their heads.
Another clip posted to Twitter shows the fire starting in the corner of the Latin American restaurant and spreading across the ceiling in seconds.
Moments later, the flames had spread to nearby tables and chairs and the floor.
Firefighters rushed to the scene just after 9.40pm and closed Dover Street to motorists.
Five fire engines and around 35 firefighters from Soho, Lambeth, Kensington and Chelsea fire stations attended the incident.
A statement from the London Fire Brigade said: “Christmas decorations in the building were on fire and had been put out before firefighters arrived.
“Approximately 300 people were evacuated by on-site staff and firefighters conducted a systematic search of the property to ensure no one was inside when they arrived.
“A man and woman were treated at the scene by crews from the London Ambulance Service.”
It’s still unclear what started the inferno and owners MNKY HSE have yet to comment on the incident.
